All Ability Levels Welcome - Grades 5 - 11
NOVICE
Novice campers, new to debate are introduced to the forum of debating and public speaking with straightforward, step by step instruction on:

how to structure an argument

how to work with a partner
-
how to refute what is being said
-
how to organize and deliver a good, strong case
Campers who are new to debate may join our program at any grade level. Typically camp enrolls numbers sufficient enought to ensure campers are matched with those they feel comfortable in age and ability.
EXPERIENCED
Experienced debaters receive specialized instruction, often geared at:

enhancing their competitive abilities with debate

in depth analysis of how cases are commonly designed

how to connect arguments to widely accepted moral / philosophical norms
-
how to more effectively refute an opponent’s points
All of our camps see registrants who are experienced and competative with debate and public speaking. Each year we ensure a compliment of campers and staff capable of training at a competative level.
