After a very successful debut camp, we are returning to West Point Grey Academy for 5 great days again this summer! We welcome both novice speakers, eager to learn new skills - - and experienced speakers, who are seeking improve their competative debating ability. Maximum enrolment is set at 85 campers - to ensure we maintain our teaching ratio of 1:8. Campers are grouped by age and skill level. The day camp program includes training in:

Canadian and British Parliamentary Debate styles

delivering prepared and impromptu speeches

current global issues and Model UN simulations
Our day camps are a fun, engaging and empowering experience - suited to all abilities! Once again, daily bus service available will be available from West Vancouver.

BRITISH COLUMBIA OVERNIGHT CAMP

For over 10 years our overnight super camps have provided an all-inclusive, immersion experience for campers eager for skills progression in public speaking and competative debate. These all-inclusive camps enrol 60 campers and alongside 10 amazing staff, provide training designed to ensure a high level of proficiency in:

speaker roles in Canadian and British Parliamentary debate

contemporary global issues

humourous, persuasive and impromptu public speaking
Our overnight programs are also well loved for our balanced approach to learning. We mix an academic experience with opportunities for creativity, swimming, group outings and recreational evening programs.
For Lower Mainland campers, we have direct bus service from BC Ferries Swartz Bay Terminal. DCC staff meet campers at Tswassen terminal.
